If you have a strong desire to live in the Perth Foothills you are probably looking for a location that encompasses one of the many things that drives buyers to the area.

Open space.

Set on a generous 845sqm block with R12.5/30 zoning, it's not just the size of the block that is appealing, it is the fact that you are opposite the very attractive Davies Park and right next door to a beautifully wooded circa two hectare vacant block which has been in the same family for over sixty years.

The double brick and tile home was built in 1987, is as solid as they come and has features including:

* Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and 2 x WC
* Separate study/5th bedroom with built in furniture
* Formal lounge and dining
* Open plan meals and family room
* Ducted evaporative cooling
* Pergola, garden shed and below ground pool
* Single carport & good off-street parking including room for the caravan/camper-trailer

Yes, there are some cosmetic upgrades needed but we are sure you will agree the bones are good and the location is an absolute winner with an easy walk to the bus stop, the new IGA and Maida Vale Primary School + a short drive to the Roe Hwy, airports and soon to be opened High Wycombe train station.

Maida Vale overview

This area was first settled in 1873 by William Henry Mead. He built a home in the Ridge Hill area, and established an orchard named "Orangedale". The name of Maida Vale was chosen as the district name by a public meeting of local residents in 1910, and comes from the property name of another early settler, Mr W H McCormack. It is assumed that the name was derived from that of the west London suburb of this name, which in turn is named after Maida (S. Pietro di Maida) in Calabria, Italy. The British Army defeated the French there in 1806, and in commemoration of the victory Maida Hall and Maida Vale were named.

Life in Maida Vale

Within the suburb there is a primary school, Maida Vale Primary School, a golf course, numerous parks/ovals, small shops, and a heated swimming pool. Maida Vale retains areas of natural bushland and is not completely built-up with housing.
