Despite the property's desirable lower-level position, it still commands pleasant city glimpses from its spacious front courtyard where a shady tree meets easy-care artificial turf and a fabulous paved outdoor alfresco-entertaining area. The latter is accessible from a light, bright and open-plan living, dining and kitchen space with tiled splashbacks, sparkling stone bench tops and high-end Bosch gas-cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher appliances.

The sole bedroom is carpeted for comfort and boasts built-in wardrobes, whilst the adjacent fully-tiled bathroom is brilliant in its simplicity and features a shower, toilet and stone vanity for good measure. Making the most of the wall space on offer is a cleverly-concealed European-style laundry with stone bench tops – nestled behind folding doors.

Stunningly situated just one street back from The RISE recreation and community centre and the Maylands Public Library, this stylish abode also find itself within easy walking distance of bus stops, Maylands Train Station, restaurants and shopping and so close to the Maylands Yacht Club, sprawling parklands bordering our picturesque Swan River, the Maylands Peninsula Public Golf Course, educational facilities, the Crown Casino and the buzzing entertainment hotspots of Mount Lawley and Northbridge that precede Perth's own CBD nightlife. Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
