In 2018 after looking for a career change, Merete completed her Property Management course at REIWA and was certified within a short time. In 2024 Merete completed her Diploma in Property also through REIWA.
Originally from Copenhagen, Denmark, Merete worked as Project Administrator, HR Consultant, Assistant Contracts Administrator and Asset Secretary in the Oil and Gas industry over the last 20 years. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Management after studying part time for 8 years she was also working full time and being a wife and a mother of 2 very ambitious dedicated sport active children. Little did she know during this challenging time she was also gaining the skills for the multitasking and fast paced industry that is Property Management.
Merete's favourite part of the role is how no two days are alike and you are constantly on the move doing house inspections, negotiating terms between parties, being a listener, diplomat and problem solver. Her ability to develop solid relationships with tenants, owners and suppliers allows Merete to perform and deliver a top-class Property Management service.
When she's not managing her portfolio of clients, Merete is President for the Scandinavian Association of WA, and she also serves as Chief Editor of the quarterly newsletter Scanpost. She also spends her time volunteering at her daughter’s rhythmic sport gymnastic club during competitions and as Team Manager for the Rhythmic Gymnastics State Team at National Championships. She also knows her way around the golf course being a very proficient golf player, in fact if she had not left Denmark, she would most likely have pursued a career in pro golfing.
