With the recent coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions put in place by the State Government that restricts people travelling in and out of regional areas, we have had some members ask how that affects settlement if the people are moving to a regional area.

We have been advised by the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) that the movement of people will not be restricted if the movement is resulting from the settlement of a property transaction.

Those people who are moving through regional areas should carry proof of the transaction eg O&A with personal ID to link them back to the names and addresses on the O&A.
