12 February 2021
The WA Government has announced that at 12.01am on Sunday 14 February 2021 the Perth and Peel Regions can now return to pre-lockdown life that was in place prior to 6pm Sunday 31 January.
This means that masks are no longer required inside or outside for any real estate activity however we all need to continue to practise physical distancing, maintain COVID-19 hygiene practices and get tested when unwell.
Maintaining contact tracing must continue as per the WA Government’s directives:
- Contact registers and SafeWA will continue as part of post-lockdown life. Currently, it is mandatory for most
businesses to ensure a contact register is available.
- Individuals will now also face penalties if they fail to scan in using either SafeWA or the contact register available.
A contact register must be available for real estate activities and the following information is provided by the WA Government:
- WA Government’s SafeWA app, which provides an easy, safe and efficient digital contact register system. Use
of this app is encouraged and endorsed by WA Health.
- Paper-based register – suggested formats and templates are available to assist you.
- Electronic-based register e.g. a form on a tablet at the front of your business.
Please refer to the WA Government information provided

We will provide you with more information should we receive any additional advice regarding post-lockdown restrictions being lifted that has an impact on real estate transactions.
Thank you for your cooperation during these challenging times.
