  • Electronic conveyancing benefits everyone

Once a decision has been made to transact a property, everyone - buyers, sellers, agents - just want things to move quickly, securely, and efficiently with minimum fuss during the settlement process.

Electronic conveyancing is now here to bring property transactions into the 21st Century. It’s smarter, safer and more efficient

From 1 May, electronic conveyancing - or e-conveyancing - will become the standard settlement process in Western Australia, replacing the time-consuming paper-based settlement process that’s been in use for more than a century.

What does this mean? From 1 May, all eligible discharges, transfers, mortgages, caveats and withdrawal of caveats must be lodged electronically. You can read the full details on Landgate’s website.

E-conveyancing means greater settlement and lodgement certainty, no more bank cheques, and quicker disbursement of funds to all parties – including to real estate agents.

Buyers and sellers can also download an app and watch the whole process unfold on their smartphones, rather than wait and wait for a call to confirm everything has gone through. Hassle free.

E-conveyancing benefits all parties in a property transaction. It’s safe, fast, transparent and simple. So have the conversation with your preferred settlement agent today and bring your buyers and sellers into the digital future.
