As a long-standing Principal Partner of the Perth Scorchers in the men’s Big Bash League competition, reiwa.com is proud to announce that for the 2020/21 season, we will be extending our partnership of the Perth Scorchers to the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL). REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said reiwa.com is pleased to be able to fully support Western Australia in the national BBL competition. “The WBBL has seen an increase in popularity over the years and it is great to be able to support and help continue the competition’s growth, especially during the challenging COVID-19 times,” Mr Pozzi said. Led by Sophie Devine as team captain, the Scorchers open their upcoming WBBL season on Sunday 25 October at 7.20am WST against defending champions, the Brisbane Heat. The match will be broadcast live on Seven. “While there will be no WBBL games played in Perth this season due to COVID-19 and Cricket Australia's decision to playout the competition in a hub model, it doesn’t mean that we can’t all rally together and support the Scorchers in the comfort of our loungeroom with family and friends,” Mr Pozzi said.
