• Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 6 March


    Sales activity in Perth declined 22 per cent over the week, with 518 transactions reported.

    This decline is attributed to a 19 per cent fall in house sales, a 34 per cent fall in unit sales, and a 22 per cent fall in vacant land sales.

    The weaker sales figures come on the back of a shortened week due to the Labour Day public holiday.

    Listings for sale

    There were 14,221 properties for sale in Perth this week.

    Listings for houses decreased one per cent, listings for units remained stable and listings for vacant land increased one per cent.

    This week’s total listings figure is four per cent higher than four weeks ago and three per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported there were 8,502 properties for rent in Perth over the week.

    This is two per cent lower than four weeks ago and a substantial 18 per cent lower than a year ago.
