• Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 30 May


    Sales activity experienced an increase over the week, with 592 transactions reported.

    The overall one per cent rise in weekly sales is attributed to a four per cent increase in sales for houses and a nine per cent increase in vacant land sales, despite a 17 per cent decrease in unit sales over the week.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties listed for sale in Perth fell by one per cent over the week to 14,858.

    Listings for units and vacant land both remained stable, whilst house listings decreased by a marginal one per cent.

    The total number of listings recorded this week is similar in comparison to four weeks ago and is one per cent lower compared to the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    Turning to the rental market, REIWA members reported the total number of properties for rent in Perth declined over the week to 10,668.

    This figure is one per cent lower than levels seen four weeks ago and one per cent higher than the same time last year.
