• Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 25 July 2017


    Sales activity in Perth experienced an increase this week with 553 transactions recorded.

    The overall one per cent rise in weekly sales can be attributed to a four per cent increase in sales for houses and a one per cent increase in unit sales, despite an 18 per cent decrease in vacant land sales over the week.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth remained stable over the week, with 13,601 listings recorded.

    Listings for units and vacant land both remained stable, whilst house listings decreased by a marginal one per cent.

    This week’s total number of listings is six per cent lower in comparison to four weeks ago and is five per cent lower compared to the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    Turning to the rental market, REIWA members reported that the total number of properties available for rent decreased over the week to 10,764.

    This is similar to levels seen four weeks ago, but is six per cent lower than the same time last year.
