  • Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 25 April


    Sales activity in Perth increased by 19 per cent this week, following the typical lull of the Easter period, with 469 transactions recorded.

    This lift in sales can be attributed to an eight per cent increase in house sales and a 215 per cent increase in vacant land sales, with transactions for land lifting from 26 sales last week to 82 sales this week. However, there was a nine per cent decrease in unit sales.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth increased by one per cent over the week to 15,056.

    Listings for houses and units increased by two and one per cent respectively, while vacant land listings decreased by one per cent.

    The total number of listings recorded this week is similar to levels recorded four weeks ago and one per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent was stable over the week at 10,654.

    This figure is two per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago and six per cent higher than the same time last year.
