  • Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 24 January


    Sales activity in Perth increased again this week, as the market continues to recover from the lull of the Christmas and New Year period.

    The 619 overall transactions is a 16 per cent increase on last week.

    A 17 per cent increase in house sales, a 13 per cent increase in unit sales and a seven per cent increase in vacant land sales can be attributed to the overall weekly increase.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth lifted marginally this week, with 14,650 properties listed.

    Listings for both houses and units increased by two per cent, while vacant land listings were stable.

    The total number of listings recorded this week is two per cent lower than four weeks ago and one per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth declined marginally by one per cent this week, with 10,674 properties listed.

    This figure is two per cent higher than four weeks ago and 10 per cent higher than the same time last year.
