  • Perth Market Snapshot for the week ending 2 January

    Sales activity declined 34 per cent in Perth this week, with 207 transactions recorded across metro region.

    There was a 33 per cent decrease in house sales, a 28 per cent decrease in unit sales, and a 50 per cent decrease in vacant land sales.

    This overall decline can be attributed to the Christmas and New Year period, when sales activity traditionally reduces.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale this week declined to 13,050.

    Listings for houses decreased six per cent, while units and vacant land listings both decreased by seven per cent.

    This week’s total listings figure is 11 per cent lower than four weeks ago and six per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported there were 9,094 properties for rent this week.

    This figure is two per cent lower than four weeks ago and 14 per cent lower than the same time last year.
