    Sales activity in the Perth metro area experienced a significant decline over the week, most likely due to the Easter break, with 395 transactions recorded.

    The overall 38 per cent fall in weekly sales is attributed to a 39 per cent decrease in house sales, a 30 per cent decrease in unit sales, and a 54 per cent decrease in vacant land sales.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth was stable over the week, holding at 14,897.

    Listing levels for houses and units were steady, while vacant land listings decreased by one per cent.

    This week’s total listings figure is one per cent lower than four weeks ago and two per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported the total number of properties for rent in Perth increased by one per cent over the week.

    This is one per cent higher than levels seen four weeks ago and six per cent higher than the same time last year.
