    Sales activity in the Perth metro area experienced a nine per cent decline this week, with 552 transactions recorded.

    This decline in activity is likely influenced by the seasonal factors commonly seen in the lead up to Christmas, and was felt across all property types, with houses, units and land declining by four, 23 and 27 per cent respectively.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth this week decreased by one per cent to 15,423.

    Listings for houses, units and vacant land each decreased by one per cent over the week.

    The total number of listings recorded this week is similar to levels recorded four weeks ago and two per cent higher than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth remained stable over the week at 10,518.

    This is one per cent lower than four weeks ago and 12 per cent higher than the same time last year.
