    There was a 10 per cent decline in sales activity in Perth this week, with 559 transactions reported.

    This decline in sales was likely influenced by the ANZAC day public holiday and can be attributed to a 12 per cent fall in house sales and a 10 per cent fall in unit sales. Vacant land sales increased by four per cent over the week.

    Listings for sale

    There were 14,633 properties for sale in Perth this week, with listings for houses and units decreasing two per cent and vacant land listings decreasing one per cent.

    This week’s total listings figure is two per cent higher than four weeks ago and one per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth was stable over the week at 8,532.

    This figure is on par with levels seen four weeks ago and 20 per cent lower than the same time last year.
