With the last review of real estate training packages
occurring over a decade ago, a recent national review found that a full
redevelopment was needed to better align with current and emerging job roles
Over the past 18 months, REIWA Training has been
liaising with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS)
to discuss the impact of the new qualifications to the industry.
REIWA Training have been strongly advocating for a push
towards better educational requirements to enter the industry to ensure better
outcomes for the consumer, licensed agents and registered sales representatives
and property managers.
The final requirements for registration and licensing
under the new qualifications are still being determined by DMIRS, but
indications are that the new qualifications will have no impact to current
qualifications as long as you maintain your licence or registration.
qualifications are designed for real estate professionals by the industry to
ensure that they are more streamlined, reflect current job roles and assist
with progression through industry roles. REIWA Training will be rolling out our
new registration and diploma courses later this year.
