REIWA is pleased the Infrastructure
WA Bill 2019 has been formally passed and commends the
WA Government for pushing the state’s long term infrastructure plan.
Damian Collins said REIWA has been a long standing advocate for the
introduction of Infrastructure WA to ensure Western Australia has the
infrastructure it needs for the sustainable growth.
independent statutory body being established including the expertise of both
public and private sectors, WA can start focusing on the planning and prioritising of major projects and residential
developments for the next 20 years.
“This is a momentous win for our state, one which provides certainty to
the current challenging WA real estate market. The passing of the Bill will significantly
impact current and potential home owners by taking the politics out of
infrastructure decision making, ensuring the most beneficial projects go ahead
“We are extremely pleased with these results and look forward to working
with Infrastructure WA as the roll out of projects drives WA’s economic
growth,” Mr Collins said.
