    REIWA is encouraging West Australians to get behind The Salvation Army’s 2018 Red Shield Appeal to help the homeless in WA.

    The Red Shield Appeal, which runs until 6 June, aims to raise much needed funds to support the services the Salvos provide in their bid to end homelessness. REIWA and its members are passionate about this cause and support the homeless in WA via the Institute’s philanthropic Community REInvest program.

    REIWA President Hayden Groves said WA’s homeless need the support of the local community to help them find permanent housing by supporting the services which assist them in achieving that goal.

    “West Australians are well-known for their generosity and we’d love to see the public join forces with the real estate industry to dig deep and help the Salvos reach their fundraising goal for this year’s Appeal," Mr Groves said.

    The funds raised from the Appeal will go directly towards assisting the following services provided by the Salvos;

    • Harry Hunter Rehabilitation Centre
    • Bridge Program - Sobering up detox facility
    • Graceville Women's Refuge
    • Balga Early Learning Centre
    • Doorways Welfare Services
