• 2017 REIWA Auctioneering Championships a success


    REIWA’s annual Auctioneering Championships wrapped up for another year on 27 June, with the senior category concluding the two week event.

    After a long afternoon of tough competition, Tom Esze from tomesze.com was crowned the winner of this year’s senior auctioneers competition, followed closely by David Vitale from Vitale Fine Properties in second place.

    Held at REIWA Head Office, the Championships saw seven of WA’s best auctioneers battle it out for the title of ‘champion’.

    This year’s competitors included:

    REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said the standard set by all competitors was very high and the future of auctioneering in WA looked bright.

    “The bar was set very high this year. Congratulations to Mr Esze and Mr Vitale on their fine achievement in placing first and second in the Championships respectively. They are both wonderful examples of industry excellence and serve as great benchmarks for their colleagues in helping to lift the profile of auctioneering in WA,” Mr Pozzi said.

    In the rookie category of the Championships, Prash Nayar from Harcourts Integrity took out top honours. Mr Nayar was presented his award at the senior category championships.

    Mr Esze and Mr Vitale will represent REIWA at the 2017 Australasian Auctioneering Championships in Adelaide this September. Mr Nayar will also be in attendance at the Championships as a guest.
