  • ‘Think small first’ this Saturday for Small Business Day

    New

Western Australia’s Small Business Day is this Saturday 29 October and you’re encouraged to shop local and ‘think small first’.

The state-wide movement launched last year and is designed to raise awareness about the important of small business in WA.

SmallBusinessMatters.net.au says small businesses are at the heart of what makes our local communities great.

“We know, without small business, a community doesn't thrive. Without small businesses, our economy would not survive. Small business are a huge part of our life,” the website says.

    What to do

This Saturday, avoid shopping at large businesses and instead choose to shop at an independent store or a small business.

“The way we shop influences what is available to shop in. Small businesses keep the large and global corporations more competitive. When a small business disappears - so does our diversity and variety.”
