REIWA Councillor Hayden Groves elected as national Institute’s President

Former REIWA President and current REIWA Councillor Hayden Groves has been elected President of Australia’s national real estate body, the Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA).

Mr Groves has served on the REIA board as Deputy President since 2015 and succeeds Adrian Kelly who served as REIA President from 2018-21.

REIWA CEO Neville Pozzi said he was delighted to see one of Western Australia’s top real estate professionals take on the national Institute’s Presidency.

“It is wonderful to see a West Australian, especially one as highly respected as Hayden, at the helm of the national Insitute’s Presidency,” Mr Pozzi said.

Mr Groves joins a select group of REIWA members who have attained the role of President for the national real estate body which includes, in more recent times, David Airey AM, Kareena Ballard AM, John Franklyn OAM and Graham Joyce.

“We congratulate Hayden on this achievement and look forward to the great work he will do in this role,” Mr Pozzi said.

A licensed agent and auctioneer with a Bachelor of Politics (Hons) from Monash University, Mr Groves has served on the REIWA Council since 2010 and as REIWA President from 2015-18.

He owns and operates dethridgeGROVES, a successful independent agency located in Fremantle, which specialises in residential management and sales.

The REIA board also gained a new board member, REIWA President Damian Collins.
