EVERYTHING YOU WANT

EVERYTHING YOU WANT….

Endless sunsets watching the sun bounce colour off the quarry… Twilight city glimpses twinkling through the treetops…sunrise filled with birdsong and fresh air perched atop the hill… welcome to 7 Boya Crescent Boya.

Elegantly sprawled across an enviable 2418sqm this beautiful home boasts the very best of 1947 character combined with the sophisticated living of today. Best described as hills industrial with a contemporary twist, you will adore returning home every day to a house that fills you with so much pride.

Boasting 4 large bedrooms and 4 huge living areas, this unique home demands its owners indulge in a lifestyle filled with the very best of nature and beauty…

Originally owned by John Herington (Park Ranger) in 1947 and perched above the John Herington Memorial Park - this property is well known throughout Boya as the original Rangers’ Lookout in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. Carefully renovated and lovingly restored over the years, the stunning home has respectfully matured into a gorgeous property suited to executive living or a family lifestyle.

Soaring ceilings, timber floors and fire places add depth and texture to what is undoubtedly a home that is hard to forget. The front of the home features an enormous entertainment space suited for many functions – a work room, games room or study space…even a large home office for those fortunate enough to receive clients at home. A full wall of floor to ceiling cabinetry boasts ample storage while huge picture windows run the length of the room, allowing a generous view of the natural gardens at the front of the property and the all important sparkling city view.

The original master bedroom is also cleverly positioned at the front of the house, in an elevated position to take advantage of the stunning landscape. A spacious walk in robe is featured along with the modern fully tiled ensuite.

The second bedroom features custom built in robes and cabinetry, and is located in the original section of the home. The sitting room lies adjacent to the second bedroom and is perfectly positioned for cosy conversation in front of the open fireplace. Large built in timber shelves add depth and functionality to the space.

The heart of the home is undoubtedly the enormous Living space, also encompassing both kitchen and dining. A huge galley kitchen with contemporary cabinetry merges perfectly with the classical jarrah floor boards and industrial shelving. The enormous (and commanding) Marri & Oregon barn door has been hand crafted, with impressive iron and steel hardwire providing the perfect contrast as the hero of the room.

Modern appliances adorn the kitchen and scullery, including the monster 900mm stainless steel free standing oven and coordinating steel espresso high bar. Over head cabinets featuring matt black hardware coordinates perfectly with the black tapware and industrial sinks. The adjoining scullery offers an expansive view of the backyard and quarry through the wrap-around servery window. An open pantry with industrial adjustable shelving adds to this sought-after aesthetic.

The huge dining room can easily accommodate 10 guests and features industrial pendant lighting and shelving and is framed by the beautiful garden views through huge picture windows. Contemporary colours have been used throughout the property, allowing the lucky owner to enjoy the beauty of a light and airy space without compromising on dramatic accents.

The rear of the property features the fabulous living room. Plush carpeting, large windows and an amazing box skylight provide an ambience hard to recreate. The wood stove brings warmth to enhance the beautiful aspect of this spacious room.

The current Master suite is located in this modern section of the home and features a sealed sliding glass door to bring the beautiful gardens into your room every morning. Spacious, light and airy, this gorgeous room boasts built in wardrobes and cabinetry and is bordered by the semi-ensuite that is also accessible from the living room.

Living in the Perth Hills is all about being close to nature and living outside the home as much as inside the home. The lucky owners of this breath-taking property have loved watching the sunset across the quarry in their backyard. Enormous decked verandas run the length of the home and are perfectly offset by the stunning stonework. The alfresco area is truly a spot you will want to spend your time and as such the addition of the outdoor wood stove ensures you can curl up and watch the sunrise or sunset every single day of the year.

Green lawns invite you to tiptoe your way to the edge of the property and get that little bit closer to the sensational view. There is only one authentic way to experience this view and that is to drink it in in person and watch as time stands still. And if you need even more of an invitation then perhaps the charming studio perched at the edge of the property will convince you. Inspirational, creative or contemplative…whichever mood you are in will be easily accommodated. The above ground swimming pool provides yet another vantage point to watch the sun move across the sky. The huge paved fire pit is a space you will be eager to share with all those you love the most, and it is all too easy to see yourself unwinding with glass in hand at the end of a day as all the cares in the world slip away.

There is so much more to say about this property but it really needs to be seen to be believed. We cant wait to share it with you….

Boya overview

To supply the stone required to build the groynes at Fremantle Harbour, a Government quarry was established in the hills a little south-west of Darlington. A spur line was run into the quarry from the existing railway and, by July 1901, dozens of iron and hessian huts housing approximately 150 workmen were clustered near the site. In August of 1901, construction began on a railway siding for the use of this settlement and the first name proposed was "Yan-Yeen". This was rejected because of a duplication in Victoria and the Aboriginal word "Boya", appropriately meaning rock/stone, was chosen instead. It was later found that the correct Aboriginal name for the area was "Nyeedoup" but Boya remains appropriate as the Aboriginal sub-tribe who once inhabited the hills were known as "Boya-Ngoora".
