RARE FIND - RIVER AND OCEAN VIEWS

Family holidays should be about comfort, convenience and fun. This fantastic 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom holiday home encapsulates all of these in one.
The original character cottage was built in the 1960's on one of the early-selected blocks overlooking the ocean and Moore River foreshore. In 2019, it was given a modern renovation and extension, while retaining some charming original features.
You will love the huge front deck, where you can relax with friends and watch the sunset over the water. There is another large deck at the back of the home, surrounded by shady trees and reticulated gardens.
The kitchen and living area are light and bright, with floor-length windows to make the most of the view. Reverse-cycle air conditioning, ceiling fans and insulated walls and ceiling provide year-round comfort. Satellite TV is connected and NBN is available to the street.
Your new master bedroom features a modern ensuite with frameless glass shower. Open the blinds and take in the river and ocean view from your bed.
The undercroft carport has room for 3 cars plus a dinghy and trailer.
The home accommodates 10 people and provides excellent short-term rental income when not being used by the owners.
It's only a 3-minute walk to the Moore River foreshore, where the family can enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing and sandboarding. The grassed park by the river has free barbecues and even a basketball half-court.
This home has been meticulously maintained by the same owner for over 30 years and can now be yours to enjoy.

Guilderton overview

The townsite of Guilderton is located on the coast at the mouth of the Moore River, 94 kilometres north of Perth. It was gazetted a townsite in 1951, but has been used as a camping and holiday place since around 1905 when residents of Gingin petitioned the Lands Department for the creation of a road to the place and a camping reserve. A reserve for a picnic ground was declared in 1907, and the area soon became popular for camping and picnicking In the 1940s public demand for permanent camping sites led to the government deciding to declare a townsite, and seeking a name for the area, which up until then had been locally referred to as "Moore River".

A number of names were considered, the preferred name of "Guilderton" being suggested by Mrs Henrietta Drake-Brockman. The name links the town with the wreck of the Dutch ship "Gilt Dragon" near here in 1656, and the loss of thousands of Guilders it was carrying. Dutch coins and relics of the wreck have been found near the mouth of the Moore River.
