A rare offering in one of Maylands' most sought-after riverside buildings, overlooking Bardon Park and surrounded by mature trees and open green.

This two-bedroom apartment occupies the top floor with no common walls, a combination that lends it the quiet of a standalone home inside an apartment setting.

From the tiled balcony, with room for a small outdoor setting, the view runs over Bardon Park toward the river. The only sounds belong to the trees and the birds.

Step outside and the Swan River pathway is metres away, with the full river loop opening from there. A short stroll along the foreshore takes you to the Maylands jetty at the Maylands Yacht Club. Walk the other way to Guildford Road for a bus directly into Perth city, or head minutes up the road to the popular Beaufort Street cafe strip. The address sits conveniently between Perth Airport and the CBD.

Inside, stunning timber floors run through the living and bedroom areas. Both bedrooms have built-in robes, and a reverse cycle split system air conditioner serves the living room. A new secure mesh front door adds peace of mind, and a numbered carport bay is provided for the use of Unit 56.

Offered with vacant possession at settlement.

Walk in and make it home, in one of Maylands' most tightly held pockets, with parkland out the front and the river just beyond.

For the first home buyer: a step into one of Maylands' most desirable riverside addresses.
For the country owner: a lock-and-leave Perth base with the city a short bus away.
For the FIFO worker: an easy base between the airport and the CBD, ready to lock up and walk away.

Maylands overview

Maylands is a riverside inner-city suburb approximately 4.5 kilometres northeast of Perth, serviced by the Midland railway line on the northern bank of the Swan River. In 1896 the name "Maylands" was first used to identify the area, appearing on a poster advertising a land auction. However the exact reason how the area got its name is something of a mystery.

The suburb was once a source of clay for brick and tile making at Maylands Brickworks, and the pits from these activities are now part of a golf course and residential area. It was home to Perth's main airport until the early 1960s, and the facilities were converted to a training area for the Western Australian Police Service.

Life in Maylands

Maylands is known as a cultural and creative hub as it is home to The West Australian Ballet Centre and home to the WA Youth Jazz Orchestra. In recent years, new bars, cafés and restaurants, along with gourmet food and retail outlets have all contributed to an ongoing transformation of the town centre into a lively, diverse and inclusive destination. There are numerous shopping centres in the area, 15 parks and reserves and two primary schools.
