Quite possibly the best located small farm on the market on the south coast of WA; "Carinya" represents a wonderful opportunity to secure prime farmland in the very tightly held Bow Bridge area. 30 minutes drive west of Denmark, and with just under a kilometre of Highway 1 frontage, the 125 acre farm also boasts over 800 metres of frontage to the Bow River.
Almost the entire property consists of productive pasture, and water is in abundance. Two homes have separate access onto the highway and have around 450 metres distance between the two. The main home is a very solid double brick home of over 300sqm, and includes three bedrooms and a study, plus two bathrooms and two large living areas. The second home is an older style timber framed 2x1 cottage in great condition, and currently used as a popular holiday rental, with Peaceful Bay, Irwin Inlet, the Tree Top Walk, and a host of other tourist attractions all nearby, Numerous sheds and outbuildings compliment the property, as well as a set of sheep yards. Held by the one family for well over 60 years, "Carinya" is now ready for new owners to take over and secure this enviable property. Please contact Andrew Barrow on 0409018075 for further details.

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.
Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
