High ceilings and a flowing floor plan impose a sense of space and freedom the moment you step inside this well-presented family home. A large, east-facing window fills the formal lounge with natural light and views across the front verandah to a series of raised gardens.

Sandstone tiles in soft organic tones carry through from the entry to the expansive open-plan living zone. High benchtops describe the kitchen with an integrated breakfast bar and under bench storage surrounding a 4-burner cooktop and electric oven. A full-height pantry provides ample storage for food and appliances.

Extensive glazing brings winter sun to the heart of the home, while a door to the north-facing verandah expands the living space with a seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A slow combustion fire offers a cosy gathering place in the cooler months.

The main bedroom sits at the front of the plan, away from the activity of the central living zone – high ceilings and a large window highlight the room's generous proportions. A large, walk-through robe and fully tiled ensuite with separate WC deliver fashion a welcoming parents' retreat with a delightful sense of privacy.

The junior bedrooms are arranged in a separate wing, along with the shared family bathroom. Each bedroom is queen-sized with built-in robes, and the bathroom is fully tiled. A walk-through laundry with a bank of full-height storage and a long benchtop completes the layout in the junior wing.

The dual access block provides easy entry to the 2-car brick garage and a powered workshop set towards the rear boundary. Extending from the garage is a large multi-purpose room; currently utilised as a home office, it would make an excellent workshop, studio or teens' retreat.

This is a family home with the space, scope and flexibility to adapt to a growing family's changing needs and priorities. Primary and secondary schools are within easy reach, as are local sporting facilities and kilometres of walking and riding along the Heritage Trail. With its shops, services and park, Mundaring is a very short drive away, yet the size and setting of this property ensure a wonderful sense of privacy. Don't miss a rare opportunity to give your family the gift of a Hills lifestyle in a home built for making memories and a setting waiting to be explored.

Mundaring overview

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
