The perfect getaway!

Approximately 29 hectares of beautiful undulating Ravensthorpe country with big Salmon Gum trees and a small winter creek running through the property. Located on the foothills of the ranges, overlooking the Jerdacuttup valley. Just enjoy the partly fenced property and have a sundowner next to the dam or complete the fencing and run some livestock.

The good sized shed, reasonably new with concrete floor, is perfect to store the tractor, boat and caravan. Several large and some smaller rain water tanks all connected.
Two caravans are neatly located, one with veranda and shelter, next to a beautiful raised veggie patch. Numerous fruit trees are already established.

Several smaller garden sheds have been placed to store lawn mowers, fire wood and tools. A neat outbuilding houses a shower with gas hot water.

A few fireplaces and pot bellies have been placed strategically to provide a spot out of the wind regardless of the wind direction.
Three small solar installations provide lighting to the caravans and power to the shed. A genset is included if more power is required.

A very unique property, well suited for a weekend getaway. This one will go fast, book your inspection today.

Ravensthorpe overview

The townsite of Ravensthorpe is located in the south coastal region, 541 kilometres east southeast of Perth and 50 kilometres north northwest of the coastal town of Hopetoun. The Ravensthorpe region was first settled by the Dunn brothers in the 1860's, and it was James Dunn who first found gold in the area in 1899. Gold mining in the area was not very productive until a new find in 1900 resulted in rapid growth.

Ravensthorpe was gazetted a townsite in January 1901, the name having been suggested by surveyor A.W. Canning after the nearby Ravensthorpe Range. The Ravensthorpe Range was named by Surveyor General J.S. Roe in 1848 in honour of Bishop Augustus Short who, prior to becoming Bishop of WA & SA in 1847, had been the Vicar of Ravensthorpe in Northamptonshire (England) from June 1835. Bishop Short is also commemorated by Mt Short, a hill in the Ravensthorpe Range.
