The home was constructed in 1950 with concrete tilt-up panels, long before the method became the contemporary and popular building method that it is today.

As you step through the doors, you'll note the character features that define this home's charm. The high ceilings create a sense of spaciousness, while the jarrah floors provide warmth and comfort. The period ceiling roses and cornices add an extra layer of history, harkening back to a bygone era of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The fully renovated kitchen boasts sleek black granite bench tops that are as practical as they are aesthetically pleasing. The ample bench space provides the perfect canvas for culinary creations, while the electric stove, oven, and dishwasher create a seamless cooking experience.

Both the ensuite bathroom and main bathroom have been renovated with a modern aesthetic and tasteful appointments. Thoughtful design comes together to create spaces that are both practical and visually appealing.

A separate study/studio doubles as a second living area and includes a feature timber door. This is a great space for a home office set up or an extra space for children and their toys.

The oversized main bedroom benefits from an abundance of natural light and space for lounging. Access to the ensuite bathroom and the rear garden is provided. The secondary bedrooms are large and spacious, with more than enough space to retreat in comfort.

Maida Vale overview

This area was first settled in 1873 by William Henry Mead. He built a home in the Ridge Hill area, and established an orchard named "Orangedale". The name of Maida Vale was chosen as the district name by a public meeting of local residents in 1910, and comes from the property name of another early settler, Mr W H McCormack. It is assumed that the name was derived from that of the west London suburb of this name, which in turn is named after Maida (S. Pietro di Maida) in Calabria, Italy. The British Army defeated the French there in 1806, and in commemoration of the victory Maida Hall and Maida Vale were named.

Life in Maida Vale
