What we love
Enviably nestled right between the beach and majestic “Class A” Star Swamp Reserve bushland walking trails, this charming 3 bedroom 1 bathroom brick-and-tile home is as solid as they come and provides the perfect coastal retreat for now, with plenty of scope to add your own personal modern touches throughout as you plan for the future. There is even the potential to one day build your dream seaside property here too, if you are that way inclined. The ocean views from the large upstairs loft-come-living room are absolutely stunning and afford you a picturesque snapshot of what to expect.

At the rear, a lovely pergola headlines a spacious paved courtyard with “tranquil outdoor entertaining” written all over it. Back inside, a huge open-plan family and dining area is welcoming, comfortable and accessible to the back courtyard. The adjacent kitchen has been cleverly refurbished over time and boasts a range hood, gas cooktop, separate oven, double sinks, heaps of storage (including a pantry) and contemporary low-maintenance flooring for good measure.

What to know
The practical bathroom is brilliant in its simplicity and caters for everyone’s essential needs in the form of a shower and separate bathtub. Ample built-in wardrobe options grace every bedroom, whilst the laundry provides easy access to a storage cupboard, the separate toilet and the exterior. Extras include a double lock-up garage, gated access for privacy, split-system air-conditioning downstairs, ceiling fans in every room, a garden shed, security doors and screens, skirting boards and established gardens.

Cafes, restaurants, medical facilities and bus stops along the vibrant Flora Terrace strip around the corner are all only walking distance away from your front doorstep, with North Beach Shopping Centre and North Beach Primary School just around the corner. Our Lady of Grace Primary School, the spectacular Charles Riley Memorial Reserve playing fields, Trigg Point, public and private golf courses, the exciting Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment, the freeway, other top educational facilities and even Hillarys Boat Harbour can also be easily accessed within a matter of minutes. This is exactly where you want to be living.

North Beach overview

The name North Beach began as a descriptive name, derived from the suburb being at the time the most northerly of Perth's beaches. It was assigned in 1888 when surveyor Charles Crossland referred to the pastoral leases of Samuel Richard Hamersley as his "north beach coastal run". The suburb was originally set aside as a timber reserve in the 1860s and then as a quarantine area for camels entering in the 1890s. A number of orchards operated in the area with the only evidence that remains today an old olive tree on Hope Street.

Life in North Beach

Residential styles in North Beach include a mix of holiday dwellings from before and after World War II, some former workers' houses, and modern dwellings. As a residential suburb, North Beach has small shopping areas on the coast and at Flora Terrace and Castle Street which offer basic commercial services. The suburb features a tennis club and has two primary schools - North Beach Primary School and Our Lady of Grace School.
