This home will stand the test of time. Built in 1979, on a 5 acre block close to town, it is a big family home set in gorgeous Mundaring. The owners have raised their brood and are now ready to pass it on to a new family who are ready to make their own memories here. Though it's retained its original décor, it has been very well cared for and can easily left as it is if you're not ready for renovations. There is a lot to be said for vintage charm!

The big living spaces in this home are a testament to family life and will suit those wanting to invite everyone around for communal mealtimes. Spend evenings playing pool or teaching the younger generation how to cook, or just invite fellow wine enthusiasts round to hang out in the specially constructed cellar. Alternatively turn the under croft cellar / storage space into something completely different. The cosy wood fire will keep everyone comfy and warm, but in the summertime you'll be outdoors under the big wrap-around verandah or splashing in the pool.

Mundaring overview

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
