EXEMPLARY 1900s CHARACTER COTTAGE

Open the front gate to the white picket' fence, step through the front door and be inspired by the attention to detail that has been lavished on this genuine 1900s character weatherboard and iron home set amongst lovely gardens.

Lovingly renovated and extended, this deceptively large home highlights the charm of Federation design. From the leadlight windows in the French doors that lead from the bedrooms out to the wide verandah, to the timber architraves, high ceilings, polished jarrah floors, dado boards, pressed tin look-alike plaster boards walls and solid cast iron bath and basins in the bathrooms.

Boasting four generous sized bedrooms, three ensuites, four WCs, large study / office or fifth bedroom with feature fire place, a formal lounge and dining room with open fire place and a family room. The well equipped and spacious country kitchen has Tasmanian Blackwood cupboards with granite tops and a to die for Falcon double oven. Your comfort too is catered for with several reverse cycle air conditioners.

Every inch of this private well fenced 2213 sqm block has been pain stakingly developed and landscaped. The lovely, established gardens with mature deciduous trees, netted veggie beds, roses and lush green lawns are also home to a sparkling swimming pool with a gazebo, powered for outdoor entertaining.

For the man of the house - a green colorbond powered shed with water and a paved driveway using recycled bricks offers easy vehicle access and stands at the rear of the property. A chicken enclosure is hidden from view behind the shed. Garden paths have also been formed using recycled bricks.

A productive bore, water tank and auto reticulation make watering of the gardens a breeze.

A carport in keeping with the weatherboard and iron construction of the house is conveniently located to the left of the front door.

This superb property is well presented with quality finishes inside and out and surrounded by beautiful gardens. An easy walk to Mundaring village, close to schools and an easy commute to Midland and the airport.

Deluxe Lifestyle and Desirable Location - an irresistible combination.

Mundaring overview

Permanent settlement in Mundaring began in 1882-84 when Mr Peter Gugeri established a vineyard south of the Eastern Railway. The first railway siding at Mundaring was named after him and for some years the area was generally known as "Gugeris". A later settler, M H Jacoby, took over Gugeris' vineyards in 1893, and named the business the "Mundaring Vineyard Company". The name came from an Aboriginal camp situated nearby and the meaning given to Jacoby by the aborigines was "a high place on a high place". The correct pronunciation was "Mundahring" but common usage has gradually converted this to "Mundairing".
