Craftsman Built Masterpiece

Impossible to replicate and priced well below replacement cost. If you are interested in a really special, "one-off" creation, you owe it to yourself to inspect this magnificent property. Just driving up through the canopy of liquid amber trees that line the driveway is an experience!

The work of an award-winning local builder with a passion for building with natural materials such as stone and timber. There are so many artisan features throughout the home such as hand-crafted solid jarrah doors and windows, and solid slab kitchen bench tops; granite walls, feature wagon wheel windows, intricate ceilings and two amazing fireplaces.

A huge custom-built kitchen is ideally positioned adjacent to the dining and main living area which features one of two incredible stone fireplaces. Hand made timber French-doors lead out to the 3m wide full wrap around bullnose verandah - outdoor entertaining is easy no matter what the weather or wind.

Two minor bedrooms with built-in robes, a large bathroom, and family room (with second granite fireplace) are also located on the ground floor along with a large and practical laundry with shute from ensuite. Upstairs you will find the massive master suite with balcony overlooking the lake and facing North East - ideal for a morning cuppa. There is also an office, two walk-in robes and a further store room. Whilst technically a 3 bedroom home, the family room could make a very large 4th bedroom if desired.

The grounds, gardens and additional outbuildings compliment this stunning property and make the most of the 10acres it occupies.

Just some of the features include:

* 325 tonnes of handpicked local Mt Shadforth and Mt Barker stone used in the construction
totally custom designed and built with many bespoke features
* Backing directly onto extensive natural bush reserve
* Private bush, water or garden views from almost every aspect
* Separate multi-purpose building with carports at each end and connecting pergola - approved as shed but ideal as a hobby room or studio, etc.
* Studio which is fully lined and insulated - ideal separate office or anything else you wish
* Gazebo ideal for garden picnics or simply relaxing
* Large powered shed and workshop with lean-tos - enormous storage capacity
* Fire prevention/suppression sprinkler systems in key areas
* Three-hole golf course and lake are major features of the spacious grounds
* Extensive reticulation, bore, 90,000l water tank and separate heavy vehicle access
* Netted orchard with mature trees, feature fish pond
* Only 6kms from Denmark, school bus service passes

Denmark overview

The townsite of Denmark, located on the south coast 51 kilometres west of Albany, was gazetted a townsite in 1909. It is located on the Denmark River from which it derives its name, the river having been named by the explorer Dr J B Wilson RN in December 1829. Wilson named it the "Denmark" in compliment to his friend Dr. Alexander Denmark R.N. a physician to the fleet. The Aboriginal name "Koorrabup", recorded by Alfred Hillman in 1833, also refers to this area.

Although a townsite was not declared here until 1909, a settlement of this name had existed here for some years previous. A Millars Bros. Timber mill was established on the banks of the river in 1894.
