    Sales activity in Perth experienced a significant lift in activity this week following the lull of the festive period, with 418 transactions recorded.

    The overall 104* per cent increase in sales volumes is attributed to a 121* per cent increase in house sales, a 106* per cent lift for units sales and an 11 per cent increase in vacant land transactions.

    Listings for sale

    The total number of properties for sale in Perth experienced a marginal one per cent increase over the week to 14,047.

    Listings for houses and units increased by one and two per cent respectively, while vacant land listings were stable.

    The total number of listings recorded this week is nine per cent lower than four weeks ago and two per cent lower than the same time last year.

    Perth rental market

    REIWA members reported that the total number of properties for rent in Perth increased by four per cent to 10,912 over the week.

    This is four per cent higher than four weeks ago and 12 per cent higher than the same time last year.
