What are Property Lists?

Property Lists allows you to flag properties that you are potentially interested in, when using the one of the Properties for Sale or Properties for Rent search pages.

When you flag a listing, you are also able to add a personal comment about that listing. This comment will be displayed whenever you display the associated property (either in a list or as a detailed display). It is not seen by other users of the REIWA site.

At any time you can click on the "My Property List" link shown at the top right of search, list and detailed display pages page and get to view and manage all properties that you have currently flagged.

Each logged in user has his/her own Property List which is accessible from which ever PC they log in to the REIWA website.

Guest users who are not logged in also have a Property List, which is only accessible from that PC.

How do I add a Listing to my Property List?

To add properties to your Property List, perform a search to locate properties that match your criteria.

From the resulting results list pages or from the detailed display of one of these properties, click on the "Add to My List" button.

This will pop up a window to allow you to type in some optional personal comments about the listing. These comments will be displayed whenever the associated property is displayed to you. They are not seen by other users of the REIWA site.

Once you have completed the comments, click the "Add to My List" button. The popup will close and an "Edit / Remove" button will replace the "Add to My List" button. In addition, if you have added a comment, this comment will be displayed (with a blue background) against the listing.

How do I maintain my Property List?

You can edit or remove a property from your Property List from the "Search Results" page, the "Property Details" page, or the "View My Property List" page.

Click on the "Edit / Remove" button of any listing where it appears, a new window will popup where you can edit your comments and click the "Update" button or click the "Remove From My List" button to remove the listing.

Note that if you "remove" a listing currently displayed in the "View My Property List page", the button will change to "Add to My List" and the comments will be removed, however the property will remain displayed until the page is refreshed.

How long will a property be kept in my Property List?

If you add properties to your Property List as a logged in user, the list will be available from any PC that you are logged in as the same user, until one of the following occurs:
- you remove the listing
- the listing is removed from the public web site
- your account is deactivated

If you add properties to your Property List as a guest (not logged in), the list will only be available from the same PC and for an indeterminate length of time. There is only one list shared by all users of the PC.

If you have accumulated properties in your Property List as a Guest and then log in, you will be given the opportunity to move that list to you personal list after your login has been validated.
